Meet Shay
Hi, I’m Shay, a recovering over-doer and my passion is found in helping other women shed the long to-do list of have-to’s as a way to feel worthy.
I want to help you see yourself as God sees you – whole, beautiful, and worthy, just as you are.
I spent a lifetime trying to fill my “worth” bucket by doing. And then God allowed me to learn about grace. I'd like to walk beside you as you discover the grace God has for you, too.

God taught me about His grace as he walked me through:
-
Losing both my parents in my 20’s
-
Moving across country and starting over three times
-
Losing over 100 pounds
-
Leaving the Mormon church and becoming a Christ follower
-
Surviving breast cancer
There weren't enough “to do’s” in the world to get me through these life experiences whole; only God could do that. Through His love and grace, I finally came to the end of me and learned to rely fully on Him. And that is where I have found peace and rest.
As a speaker and author, I want to share with other women how they can experience true rest, too.
Five fun facts about me:
-
I have a strangely photographic memory around numbers and dates. I used to speak in dates (“Remember when we got ice cream on September 9, 1996?”) until my friend told me it was weird that I did that.
-
I have one of those laughs that makes it easy to pick me out in a crowd.
-
I met my husband at work. He was our “Windows expert” in 1993 and I kept blowing up my computer. When I deleted the executable file for the company’s email system, he took me to lunch to explain why that was a bad thing and we’ve been together since. We recently celebrated our 26th anniversary.
-
I am a lover of Pugs. Archie, our nine-year-old boy, rules the roost.
-
My favorite bible verse is Ephesians 2:10: For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. (NLT)
